Grades Teacher

Mountain Phoenix Community School seeks a full time grades teacher to join our caring community in August 2015.

Our charter school offers a comprehensive academic curriculum, aligned with the Alliance for Public Waldorf Education standards, along with special subject classes in Handwork, Spanish, Art, Music, Orchestra, Games/Movement, and Eurythmy. Our thriving school serves a diverse community of over 500 students, preschool through eighth grade, by providing a Waldorf-inspired education. Located close to Denver, Colorado, our beautiful campus has a bubbling stream and views of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Our children enjoy year-round outdoor activities with over 300 days of sunshine each year.

Denver also appreciates a thriving Anthroposophical community with an Anthroposophical medical practice, an active Anthroposophical society branch, study groups, Sound Circle Eurythmy, and 3 Waldorf high schools nearby.

The ideal candidate will have completed Waldorf teacher training, have experience teaching in a Waldorf school, and be a Highly Qualified Teacher in Colorado. Long-term Substitute Teacher – Grade 5
Our thriving charter school inspired by Waldorf education seeks an experienced Waldorf-trained grades teacher to join our growing community in February 2015 to carry a 5th grade class to the end of the year.  Mountain Phoenix Community School offers a comprehensive academic curriculum, aligned with the Alliance for Public Waldorf Education standards, along with special subject classes in Handwork, Spanish, Art, Music, Orchestra, and Games/Movement. As a public charter school, we serve a diverse community of over 500 students, preschool through eighth grade, who might not otherwise have access to a Waldorf-inspired education.

Our school is located close to Denver, Colorado. Known as the Mile-High City, it has a vibrant arts and performing arts scene and dozens of great outdoor festivals. You’ll find everything a cosmopolitan city has to offer including a spectacular view of and easy access to the beautiful Rocky Mountains, which are just west of town. Denver area residents enjoy a temperate climate and about 300 days of sunshine per year, within the four seasons.

The ideal candidate will hold a Waldorf teacher certification as well as status as a Highly Qualified teacher in Colorado.  Our creative and passionate faculty is looking for a colleague who will enthusiastically guide and carry this class while working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and parents.  We offer a competitive salary with compensation for applicable years of experience and education, as well as and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and PERA (retirement).

Mountain Phoenix Community School seeks a full-time Eurythmy teacher to join our caring community in August 2015. Our thriving charter school serves a diverse community of over 500 students, preschool through eighth grade, with a Waldorf-inspired education.
