Submit an Application

Jeffco Public Schools offers Choice Enrollment — any student in the county can apply to attend any Jeffco school that has space available.

Families who wish to enroll their student in a school other than their assigned neighborhood school must complete a Choice Enrollment Application, and submit it to their school(s) of choice. Applications for First Round Choice Enrollment are accepted in January for the following school year. Students are accepted on a space-available basis. Round one applications are prioritized through a lottery process. Waiting lists, which are prioritized, will be created if applicants exceed space available at the school. A separate application must be completed and submitted for each child.

For attendance during the school year beginning August 2018:

Choice Enrollment Round 1: January 8, 2018 – January 31, 2018
Choice Enrollment Round 2: February 9, 2018 – August 31, 2018
Kindergarten Registration: January 8, 2018 – January 31, 2018

  1. Complete and submit a Jeffco 2nd Choice Enrollment Form and an MPCS Application:
  2. Complete and submit the Kindergarten Equal Access form for Kindergarten applicants ONLY. This form is required for all Kindergarten applicants.

    • Send your application in the mail to 4725 Miller St. Wheat Ridge, CO. 80033.
  4. If requested, attend an enrollment conference. In some cases, before placement can be confirmed, parents may be asked to attend an enrollment conference to review the student’s needs and the school’s expectations.

Note:  Please see the Seedlings or Homeschool Enrichment Program web pages for information on how to enroll in those programs.

Attend an “Intro to Mountain Phoenix” Talk

During the application process, we require all families to attend an “Intro to Mountain Phoenix” Talk. Our goal is to provide you with insight into what it means to be a public charter school guided by the Core Principles of Waldorf Education, and to inform you of the unique qualities that set us apart.

Parents may submit applications before attending an Intro to Mountain Phoenix Talk. Parents are required to attend an Intro Talk before their children start school at Mountain Phoenix.

This is an excellent opportunity to come with questions and to learn more about our engaging curriculum and vibrant school culture. See Upcoming Tours & Talks for details.
