Winter Concert (Grades 6 to 8 & After School Cello Students) – 12/14
Wednesday, December 14 | Wheat Ridge High School Auditorium | 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. | Students arrive at 5:45 p.m.
Performance is mandatory. Every child is a music student at MPCS and part of their class experience is participating in a performance each semester.
Message from Ms. Scheuerman:
All students should report to Wheat Ridge High School no later than 5:45pm on Wednesday, December 14. When they arrive, band students should go to the band room, orchestra students should go to the choir room, and family/friends should proceed to the auditorium. Signs will be posted so everyone knows where to go!
The concert will begin at 6:00pm with band, then proceed to choir, and end with orchestra. Families are asked to stay for the duration of the concert, which we are working to move along as smoothly as possible. Because of the large number of attendees and performers, seating is extremely limited. We are asking families to consider limiting the number of guests to 2 or 3 if at all possible. We of course recognize that some families are bigger than that, and don’t want to turn anyone away, but recognize that if families bring too many people, it will be standing-room only. We therefore want to encourage families with guests who absolutely need to sit to arrive early to ensure seating.
As a reminder, all performing students are asking to wear black dress clothes (pants and shirt if possible, with nice all-black shoes), with band students wearing a blue accent and orchestra students wearing a red accent.
The schedule for the evening has been adjusted* slightly:
- 5:45 p.m. – Students arrive at Wheat Ridge High School’s Auditorium
- 6:00 p.m. – Band
- *6:40 p.m. – Choir
